Co-operative young leaders (CYL) camp
Northern proudly sponsors young leaders to participate in CYL summer camp! Get ready to change your life.
Develop your leadership skills, build on your self-confidence, make lifelong friendships, and get inspired to change the world in an exciting, judgement free atmosphere! Designed for youth aged 13-18, these week-long overnight camps will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to be a strong leader and changemaker, through the lens of co-operative organizations. Don’t worry, you’ll have lots of time for traditional camp activities like swimming, campfires, and crafts, too!
Older than 18? If you’re passionate about co-operatives and consider yourself a strong leader, volunteer as a CYL camp facilitator! Help shape the future generation of changemakers.

Community centres
The Northern Credit Union Community Centre
Northern Credit Union has proudly partnered with Curl Sudbury to secure the future of curling in Greater Sudbury. This three-year partnership will support facility enhancements and equipment upgrades to the six-sheet curling ice pad, community event space, and lounge!
The Northern Credit Union Community Centre at 300 Wessex Street in Sudbury will continue to host the recreational and competitive curling leagues that Curl Sudbury users enjoy every winter, and will transform into the pickle ball and roller derby arena that you love in the summer.
As part of our commitment to building strong communities, the Northern Credit Union Community Centre will be an all-inclusive space that encourages sportsmanship, inclusivity, and diversity.

The Northern Community Centre
The Northern Community Centre (NCC) at 556 Goulais Ave in Sault Ste. Marie is a state-of-the-art arena, featuring two NHL-sized ice rinks, an indoor turf facility, a walking track, and the 55+ Active Living Centre. It is also home to the Sault College Cougars men’s and women’s hockey teams.
This long-standing partnership, in place since 2013, has supported the Twin Pad Expansion Project along with major improvements to accessibility, sustainability, and overall functionality. Beyond recreation, the NCC plays a key role in strengthening our local economy by providing a venue for tournaments and events that attract visitors, support local businesses, and drive tourism.
