History has two purposes, especially for
people like us. It either teaches lessons or deepens roots
(or both).
So what have we learned?
When we started in 1957, we figured
focusing on the needs of our members would make us both unique
and help us grow. Over the years, we have grown, joining
with other credit unions in the kind of smaller communities
we prefer – where people come first. History teaches us that
we made the right choices. Our members tell us we are unique.
And how are our roots?
Over 48,000 members in 22 communities,
a philosophy that is based on building and supporting
natural human resources, a track record of community support:
On
rocks, near rivers and under trees, it appears our roots
are taking hold just fine.
